Urban Ray stands for a complete package delivery system for city centers, consisting of an innovative drone and modular landing stations. The drone is a novel, autonomously operating unmanned aerial vehicle based on a separate lift and cruise concept. It provides the vertical take-off and landing capability required for the use of drones in urban areas and enables horizontal onward flight at high cruising speeds. Urban Ray has developed modular landing and storage stations that form the delivery network on the ground. The individual stations differ in terms of their functionalities. The more complex HUB landing station offers the full range of functions and can autonomously load the packages into a drone, change its battery and at the same time serve as an interface to senders and recipients.
